what a gloomy boring day today!

practically rained all day and spoilt my plans to go swimming.

im so lazy to find a job.
bah.

so yesterday cherine and i headed out to clarke quay's central, wow. there's nothing much to do over there seriously. maybe you can eat @ waraku. the display looks sugoii enough.

walked around the cannery and saw jx from skating. wat a hell of a coincidence. he suggested we go brewworks (if that's how u spell it). of course i rejected. weird to drink beer in broad daylight.

anyways we walked to cityhall and had sushi at sakae before we went for a bit of shopping when something rather amusing happened.
we were at this rather cheap shop called sixteen (near the body shop at citylink mall) and were happily browsing when this lady shouted "excuse me!!" when nobody really bothered her until her daughter closed the glass doors and kept us in the shop. She claimed that someone had stolen her wallet and she was damn sure that she lost it there so she wanted the culprit to return her the wallet before she called the police. the first instinct that i had was to check my bag to see if mine was stolen as well. As for Cherine, she was damn funny! she quickly rummaged her bag to see if the lady's wallet was IN her bag - "wah lao dun sabo me arh!!" After which she went to the mirror and tried on a cardigan. she watched too much tv. hahaha.
so we were stuck in the shop for at least 10 minutes before the shop owner found her wallet on the floor. cherine felt that it was the culprit who secretly threw it on the floor. and they didnt wanna identify the person to not make things complicated. but what made the lady so sure that she didn't drop it on her own. if i were her, i'd quickly browse the floor before i shout that someone has stolen my wallet. which yeah probably by then may be too late.

the highlight of the commotion was when the lady shouted, "sorry i can't let any of you go unless the person returns me my wallet." somehow i felt it was quite unfair for those who were innocent but it was inevitable. at that time we were really waiting for god knows what to happen and i tot it would take forever cos she was already calling the police and yabadadidum. And then went the song that was playing in the shop, "Whaaat Thee Heeelll......." in a monotonous lazy tone which tickled me throughout the incident. Totally depicted how i felt at that time. Thank goodness it ended in a jiffy!

cherine then shared with me what she would do if her wallet is in her bag. she would return the wallet and to prove her innocence, commit suicide by biting her own tongue after saying "life is unfair!!" hahahaa gosh.
